Love the Line!

We have been hanging clothes out on the line and I love it! The girls have felt a little "old fashioned" but have learned to like it. Aleynah is my best helper and hanging clothes on the line and having them dry before the next load of wash is finished is quite a novelty!

We have had loads of fun with the little girls (Kessah and Elle) and have enjoyed watching them and the goofy things they like to do. The four (yes, that is what I said, FOUR) dogs have learned to get along well with each other and, in fact, are often playing together. Star and Tilley are the oldest. We think Star is 11 or so and Tilley is 10. Their age is showing as they are a little stiff in the mornings. Star tries to keep her hind end away from Elle as she tries to lay on her to give her hugs. The problem being that it hurts stars low back area when Elle lays on her so she yelps a bit. She (Star) is really good when Elle wants to give her kisses, pull her ears, cheeks, and eyes out! What a good dog!! Aleynah is happy to be with Honey the Pug, although Honey is a bit of a loner and likes to be on her own more often than not. However, Honey can jump up to the door handle when she is ready to come in. She hasn't figured out that she has to pull the handle down and push the door, but that will come in time :). It is surprising that she can get her overgrown log of a body up that high, but she does! Sammy is the last dog and looks a little like an arctic fox.

The girls have been taking full advantage of their short summer vacation. They have enjoyed staying up late, watching movies, drawing and doing just about......nothing! They have been good about helping out when needed and I really appreciate that! We will be able to contact the schools directly in a couple weeks and will register them for classes. They are getting somewhat excited about that....anxious and excited. From what we understand, there is a thing called "Parent taught driver's training" where I can teach Kendrah all of the driving techniques and then she can take her test. The only difference I see is that there is a longer driving time (50 hours) before she can take her test. She is pretty excited about this so we will be checking into it in more detail. Meikah has taken FULL advantage of every opportunity to sit and draw and text her friends. She loves her new room and is enjoying being hidden in there!

I have training for student teaching on August 3. I am looking forward to that!!
